Our Approach

At the core of our methodology is the simple truth that investment costs are the largest variable that determines success or failure. We therefore make every effort to build our portfolios with the lowest possible costs.

Since research shows that active mutual funds underperform their indexes by a wide margin we use ETFs and index funds to build our portfolios. Our model allocations guidance comes from research partner Litman Gregory, which has a long track record of success. We rebalance our portfolios when the market or sectors are significantly under or over valued.

On top of our very low cost core portfolios we overlay an advanced covered call strategy. Again, many studies have shown this strategy outperforms with lower risk.

In addition we use our 30 years of option and equity trading experience and state of the art trading software from ThinkOrSwim to tactically trade for appropriate accounts. As experienced options traders we trade both sides of the market going long or short depending on the indicators.
